After you book with us or when you contact us we will require a name and phone number. We will give you a ring prior to the recording day for a short chat and just some quick info that makes it easier for us to interview you. We can also talk about any questions or concerns you may have. We will arrive at a specified time on the day and set up our equipment. All we need is one electrical socket in a comfortable and quiet room. If there are problems such as ticking clocks we will need to stop them or remove them to another room so that they do not spill into your recording. Similarly if the room you choose is near a busy road or other loud noises we may have to move to a different room. The session can last anywhere between 1-3 hours but to ensure the most amount of actual audio we can capture, it is recommended that the session is 3 hours. We can break as often and as many times as you feel comfortable to do so. We will each have a microphone that sit on stands. This will be placed approximately 20-30cm away from you and is on a swivel so if at any time you would like to move it you can simply push it away. Before we start I will give you a sheet of questions and topics that I may ask you about and if you feel any are inappropriate I can make a note and so the interview will be tailored to you. Additionally if there is anything particular you would like to talk about then this is the time to tell us. We will then start the recording process. When we are happy we have captured what we want or when it comes to 3 hours then we will take it back to be edited and made into the final CD if you choose that to be the final product. It will then be sent out to you through the post. If however you choose the MP3 download, they will be put on the website. You will be given a password to enter a private area where only you can enter. From here you can download the final MP3 files. Both of these methods take about a week to complete and once the editing is done we will give you a call to let you know either your CD is in the post or that your MP3s are available to download.
