We record life stories
Founded by former BBC radio producer Dave Creasey, Life Story Recordings is a unique chance to have your life story recorded and professionally edited, the same as you would hear on the radio.
Whether you want to celebrate a love for music, preserve family history, mark a long career or milestone, record yourself, or a loved one, this is the ultimate experience open to everyone.
It can be factual, fun, or even a bit fictional.
It’s your story, in your words.

Using industry-standard equipment, we create life-changing audio.
How It Works
1
Interview
The interview is conducted in one session, in the comfort of your home, or virtually via zoom. We guide you through the process with ease by asking simple questions about your life. You can say as little or as much as you choose. It can be fun, factual, or simply about the music, there are no rules. This is your recording.
2
Editing
The audio captured is then professionally edited, removing any pauses, ‘erms’ and ‘ahhs’, and mixed with specially chosen music, by you, to create a 60 minute recording, similar to interviews you’d hear on the BBC.
3
Delivery
The recording takes around 3 weeks to be completed, and is sent via a digital download. There is also an option for a CD and memory stick, if that is preferred. The audio is also stored by Life Story Recordings, and can be accessed at any time with your unique password. The recording is never shared with anyone without prior consent.

Testimonials
“Quite simply, my recording is now the most precious thing I own. As I listen, it reminds me of what extraordinary wonderful people both my parents are and how much they have given me, and molded me into who I am.”
Gemma
“My Mother felt like a queen for the day. Everyone was interested in her life story – it was so lovely to listen to. It’s not the big stories like her evacuation in the war or meeting my dad, it’s the little ones she told – like how she’d always wanted to be a teacher.”
“To have my life story recorded in such a professional manner is something I will cherish forever. While apprehensive at first, Dave made the interview an incredibly enjoyable experience, and the end result is exactly the kind of thing you’d hear on the radio.”
Malcom
